On 8 April 2025, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published Consultation Paper 25/7: FCA regulated fees and levies: rates proposals for 2025/26 (CP25/7).
CP25/7 is the FCA’s annual consultation on rules that enable it to raise regulatory fees and levies this year and collect certain levies on behalf of government departments.
Table 1.1 (page 5) in CP25/7 sets out the fee-payers likely to be affected by each chapter.
Next steps
The deadline for comments on CP25/7 is 13 May 2025.
The FCA intends to publish a Policy Statement in July 2025.
Certain fee-payers have been invoiced from February 2025 for ‘on-account’ payments. They will be invoiced for the remaining balance in September 2025. Other firms will be invoiced from July 2025, based on the new fees and levies.
