On 8 January 2019, the FCA published Consultation Paper 19/1: Recovering the costs of regulating securitisation repositories after the UK leaves the EU (CP19/1).
In CP19/1 the FCA sets out proposals for recovering the costs of regulation from securitisation respositories (SRs) after the UK leaves the EU. The FCA’s proposals are integrated into the structure it has developed for credit rating agencies and trade repositories. The FCA presents the key features of its proposals in chapter 2 of CP19/1 under the following headings: application fees, periodic fees and cost recovery.
The FCA will communicate separately on authorisation and supervision of SRs shortly.
The deadline for comments on CP19/1 is 11 February 2019.
