The FCA and PRA have published the following documents containing feedback to earlier consultations on proposed technical rule changes relating to the senior managers’ and certification regimes (SM&CR), together with the consequential amendments to associated forms:

  • FCA Policy Statement 16/6: Consequential changes to the senior managers’ regime (PS16/6); and
  • PRA Policy Statement 9/16: Strengthening individual accountability in banking: responses to CP1/16, and the certification part of CP29/16 (PS9/16).

In P16/6, the FCA summarises the feedback received to an earlier consultation on consequential amendments to the SM&CR (Consultation Paper 16/1: Consequential changes to the senior managers’ regime) and confirms the final policy and forms.

In PS9/16, the PRA provides feedback on responses to Consultation Paper 1/16 – Strengthening individual accountability in banking: amendments to notification rules and forms and sets out the amended definition of the term ‘significant risk taker’ in the PRA’s certification rules as proposed in Consultation Paper 29/15 – Occasional consultation paper. The PRA will confirm its final rules and amended forms in a separate Policy Statement.
