The European Association of Co-operative Banks has published a revised version of the European interbank compensation guidelines that it has issued jointly with the European Banking Federation and the European Savings Bank Group. The guidelines provide a basis for settling claims for compensation arising from same day high-value payments in euro made between banks or other payment institutions regulated under the Payment Services Directive and directed through any euro payment system or clearing and settlement mechanism located in the EU.
