The European Commission has updated its Q&As on the Payment Services Directive (PSD) and the second Electronic Money Directive (2EMD). The Q&As now include:
- a new answer responding to a question on whether the 2EMD applies when e-money issuing activity is carried on outside the European Economic Area; and
- a new answer responding to a question relating to the definition of e-money, in particular to its issuance and redeemability.
