On 15 December 2023, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published an updated version of its Q&As on the Benchmarks Regulation (BMR).

The following Q&As have been modified

• Scope of the BMR – Application of the Regulation outside the EU.
• Authorisation, registration, recognition, and endorsement – (i) IOSCO Principles assessment of compliance (ii) The legal representative under Article 32(3) of BMR.
• Transitional provisions – Transitional provisions applicable to third country benchmarks.
