The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published an updated version of its Q&A document on the implementation of the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation.

The new Q&A provides further guidance on the authorisation of central counterparty services, the clearing obligation and the regulatory technical standards on direct, substantial and foreseeable effect of contracts within the EU.
