On 14 November 2023, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) updated its document setting out links to Member State websites where net short positions in shares are disclosed.

Article 9 of the Regulation on short selling and certain aspects of credit default swaps provides that net short position in shares should be publicly disclosed on a central website operated or supervised by the relevant Member State competent authority. The address of that website should be communicated to ESMA, which should post on its own website. The document now published contains a table which lists the links that ESMA has received to central websites operated or supervised by relevant Member State competent authorities.
