The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a new Q&A tool so that it may publicly address questions from stakeholders for the purposes of ensuring consistent and effective day-to-day application of EU law within the European Supervisory Authority’s remit.
The areas that ESMA will take questions are:
- Corporate disclosure
- Credit rating agencies
- Fund management
- MiFID II and investor protection;
- Market abuse
- MiFID II, MiFIR and Secondary Markets
- Benchmarks
- Short selling
- Post trading; and
- Innovation and products.
ESMA also sets out a list of Q&As it has already produced in the above areas.
