The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a new Q&A tool so that it may publicly address questions from stakeholders for the purposes of ensuring consistent and effective day-to-day application of EU law within the European Supervisory Authority’s remit.

The areas that ESMA will take questions are:

  • Corporate disclosure
  • Credit rating agencies
  • Fund management
  • MiFID II and investor protection;
  • Market abuse
  • MiFID II, MiFIR and Secondary Markets
  • Benchmarks
  • Short selling
  • Post trading; and
  • Innovation and products.

ESMA also sets out a list of Q&As it has already produced in the above areas.
