The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published its final draft Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) regarding the application of the Market Abuse Regulation. The final draft ITS cover the procedures and forms for exchange of information and assistance between Member State competent authorities (NCAs) and ESMA as well as with other EU authorities, entities and public bodies in the field of market abuse. ESMA has not conducted a public consultation on the draft ITS, but a targeted one with effected entities including NCAs. The final draft ITS have been submitted to the European Commission for endorsement. Once endorsed, the ITS become applicable on the day following their publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
