On 14 May 2018, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) launched the fourth EU-wide stress test. These stress tests seek to assess the vulnerabilities of the European insurance sector. The different stress scenarios encompass a combination of market and insurance specific risks as well as the exposure to cyber risk.
42 different European insurance groups will be participating in this fourth test.
The publication of the stress test results is due in January 2019.
