The European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) has published a press release  stating that it has voted to adopt a draft report on virtual currencies. The report contains a proposal concerning the creation of a taskforce that would regulate virtual currencies, like Bitcoins, to prevent their use for money laundering and terrorist financing.
