On 1 September 2023, there was published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJ) certain European Central Bank (ECB) decisions and a Regulation concerning the Single Supervisory Mechanism:

  • ECB Decision 2023/1680 on the reporting of funding plans of supervised entities by Member State competent authorities to the ECB. The ECB Decision lays down the requirements for Member State competent authorities to provide the funding plans of certain significant and less significant supervised entities to the ECB and establishes procedures concerning the submission of such funding plans to the ECB. The previous ECB Decision, ECB Decision (EU) 2017/1198 (ECB/2017/21), is repealed.
  • ECB Decision 2023/1681 on the provision to the ECB of supervisory data reported to Member State competent authorities by the supervised entities. The ECB Decision lays down procedures concerning the submission to the ECB of information reported to the Member State competent authorities by supervised entities, in accordance with Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/2070, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/451 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/453. The previous ECB Decision, ECB Decision ECB/2014/29, is repealed.
  • Regulation (EU) 2023/1678 of the European Central Bank of 17 August 2023 amending Regulation (EU) 2015/534 on reporting of supervisory financial information. Regulation (EU) 2015/534 is being amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/1678 to align the submission of supervisory financial information to the ECB by Member State competent authorities with the provisions of ECB Decision 2023/1681. Regulation (EU) 2023/1678 enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the OJ.
