The European Banking Authority (EBA) has updated its questions and answers (Q&As) on the single rulebook, which relate to the CRD IV package of reforms: the CRD IV Directive, the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and the related technical standards and guidelines developed by the EBA. The Q&As include new answers on the following topics:
- high income OECD countries and high income euro area countries as defined in the OECD;
- application of phase in regime;
- passporting for financial institutions;
- grandfathering;
- CVA for client exposures;
- conditions for application of 4% risk weight;
- validations; and
- calculating capital requirement for trading book positions – derogation for small trading book business.
