The European Banking Authority (EBA) has issued a press release in which it welcomes the European Commission’s adoption of its implementing technical standards on supervisory reporting.
In accordance with the opinion, the remittance dates of the first set of supervisory reports are postponed from April/May 2014 to end June 2014. However, there is no change to reference dates.
The postponement concerns banks’ submissions to competent authorities of:
- the first quarterly reports on own funds, large exposures, leverage ratio and net stable funding ratio with reference dates as of 31 March 2014 to end June 2014, as opposed to end May 2014; and
- the first monthly liquidity reports with reference dates as of 31 March 2014 and 30 April 2014 to end June 2014 as opposed to April 2014.
The press release also notes that it has been agreed to delay the implementation of the draft implementing technical standards on reporting of asset encumbrance. The first reporting reference date for asset encumbrance will be 31 December 2014 and the first remittance date will be 11 February 2015.
