The European Banking Authority has published final guidelines on standardised fee terminology for payment accounts in the EU. 

The guidelines are the first step towards developing standardised terminology across the EU and have been developed in accordance with the Payment Accounts Directive. Competent authorities in EU Member States will now be required to establish a provisional list of the most representative payment accounts services that are subject to a fee.
