The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published an opinion addressed to Member State competent authorities on the transition from the Payment Services Directive (PSD1) to the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which applies from 13 January 2018. In the opinion, the EBA clarifies a number of issues identified by market participants and Member State competent authorities, including with regard to the transitional period foreseen under PSD2.
