The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published its final guidelines on harmonised definitions and templates for funding plans of credit institutions. The common templates and definitions provide a tool for national competent authorities to assess the feasibility, viability and soundness of funding plans, as well as their impact on the supply of credit to the real economy.

In the coming weeks the EBA will publish a data point model describing the templates and containing the definitions, as well as a XBRL taxonomy to support efficient IT implementation. Banks shall provide their first submission to national competent authorities by 30 September 2015, with a reference date no later than 30 June 2015.
