The European Banking Authority has published its final draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) on disclosure of information related to the countercyclical capital buffer.

The draft RTS specify what information institutions must disclose in relation to their requirements for a countercyclical capital buffer. The draft RTS provide two tabular disclosure templates that harmonise the information available to the general public on the institution specific countercyclical capital buffer and the geographical location of the exposures determining that buffer.

The first disclosure using the specifications set out in the draft RTS must take place at the earlier of the following two dates: six months following the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the EU or 1 January 2016.
