On 14 December 2023, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a discussion paper on the centralisation of EEA banks Pillar 3 disclosures in the EBA Pillar 3 data hub.
The Capital Requirements Regulation 3 introduces a new mandate for the EBA to centralise institutions’ prudential disclosures and make prudential information readily available through a single electronic access point on the EBA’s website (the so-called Pillar 3 data hub).
The purpose of the discussion paper is the set out the EBA’s current thinking on the development of the Pillar 3 data hub and the different steps in the processes that the EBA is proposing or designing for both institutions and at the EBA level.
The deadline for comments on the discussion paper is 29 March 2024.
