The Council of the EU (the Council) has published an “I/A” item note it has sent to the Permanent Representatives Committee asking it to confirm its agreement of the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2), adopted by the European Parliament on 8 October 2015, and to suggest that the Council:

• approve the European Parliament’s position as an ‘A’ item at a forthcoming meeting, with the Luxembourg delegation voting against; and
• order that the statements in the addendum to the note be entered in the minutes of that meeting.

If the Council approves the European Parliament’s position, the legislative act will be adopted.
