In its Daily News of 3 July 2018 the European Commission stated that it was implementing its 2018 work programme commitment to withdraw 15 pending legislative proposals. The Commission stated in its work programme that its reasons for withdrawing the legislative proposals were that there was no foreseeable agreement in the European Parliament and the Council or that they no longer serve their purpose or are technically outdated.
Of the 15 pending legislative proposals there is one financial services related measure which has now been withdrawn. This is a proposed Regulation on structural measures improving the resilience of EU credit institutions.
