The European Commission has published a decision creating a high-level expert group on sustainable finance in the context of the Capital Markets Union. The group’s tasks will involve submitting to the Commission a set of policy recommendations that sets out the scale and dimensions of the challenges and opportunities that sustainable finance presents and recommendations for a comprehensive programme of reforms to the EU financial policy framework that will, among other things, facilitate the flow of public and private capital towards sustainable investments.
