On 21 October 2022, there was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1988 of 12 July 2022 extending the transitional period for continuing to provide crowdfunding services in accordance with national law as referred to in Article 48(1) of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Due to the high risk of market disruptions, the transitional period referred to in Article 48(1) of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 is extended by 12 months, until November 2023, to allow crowdfunding platforms operating under national law and competent authorities sufficient time to adapt to the new regime.

This Regulation shall come into force on the day following that of its publication in the OJ
