On 2 August 2018, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published a notice of intention to include additional data and analysis into a confidentiality ring following publication of the provisional decision report, as part of their investment consultants market investigation. The notice outlines the CMA’s intention to disclose further data and analysis on the relationship between overall quality of service and market success. The data will be drawn from the annual Greenwich Quality Index rating of investment consultancy firms, and the annual market shares of 15 investment consultancy firms.
The confidentiality ring into which the data and analysis will be added will be operational until 5pm on 24 August 2018, and will be made, on application, available to a limited number of approved legal and economic advisers. The deadline for comments on the undertakings is 3 August 2018.
