The European Commission has published a memo in which Michel Barnier, European Commissioner for Internal Markets and Services, welcomes the European Parliament’s vote on an additional transition period of six months during which non-SEPA payments can still be accepted in the Eurozone. Formal adoption of the proposal by the Council of the EU is expected shortly.
