On 25 May 2021, there was published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJ) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/822 of 24 March 2021 amending Delegated Regulations (EU) No 1003/2013 and (EU) 2019/360 as regards the annual supervisory fees charged by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) to trade repositories for 2021.
The Commission Delegated Regulation amends Commission Delegated Regulations (EU) No 1003/213 and (EU) 2019/360 which establish a methodology by which ESMA charges fees to trade repositories in the EU. Specifically the Commission Delegated Regulation amends the methodology for the calculation of the annual supervisory fee for 2021 for trade repositories registered as of 31 December 2020 by revising the reference period for the applicable turnover in Commission Delegated Regulations (EU) No 1003/213 and (EU) 2019/360.
The Commission Delegated Regulation enters into force the day following its publication in the OJ.
