The European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee has adopted a report on the proposed Regulation for a single resolution mechanism (the Regulation).

The Parliament is now expected to commence discussions with the Presidency of the Council of the EU on the proposed Regulation, following the Council’s agreement on a general approach on 18 December 2013.

The Parliament is scheduled to consider the proposed Regulation at a plenary session to be held between 10 and 13 March 2014.
