On 30 June 2020, the Agency for the Co-operation of Energy Regulators (ACER) updated the following documents concerning the Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT):
- Q&As on REMIT (23rd edition). The new Q&As cover inside information, REMIT definitions, obligations and prohibitions for market participants. In particular, it deals with the question of whether financial transmission rights, physical transmission rights and other products should be understood as wholesale energy products which are listed as reportable contracts according to Article 3(1) of the REMIT Implementing Regulation.
- Transaction Reporting User Manual (TRUM). The updated TRUM introduces, among other things, a new Annex VII providing further guidance on reporting lifecycle events.
- FAQs on REMIT transaction reporting (11th edition). New FAQs have been added on data fields related to standard contracts and on the reporting of electricity transportation contracts. The FAQs related to the reporting of lifecycle events have been aligned according to the new Annex VII in the TRUM. In addition, FAQs related to backloading have been labelled as ‘Archived’ and moved to a new chapter created at the end of the document (IV. Archive: FAQa on backloading).
