The FCA has published its response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 relating to it carrying out investigations under the senior managers and certification regime (SM&CR). The FCA noted that:
- in the 11 months since the introduction of SM&CR, the FCA has opened investigations into 2 individuals who are senior managers; and
- it has opened 11 investigations since 7 March 2017 into individuals who are, or likely to be, certified persons.
