The European Payments Council has published version 1.1 of the Single Euro Payments Area instant credit transfer (SEPA SCT Inst) scheme interbank implementation guidelines. The objective of the guidelines is to define the rules to be applied to the interbank ISO 20022 XML message standards for the implementation of the SEPA SCT Inst as defined in the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer Scheme Rulebook, which takes effect on 21 November 2017. The guidelines are fully aligned to the SEPA core requirements as defined in the Rulebook and identify message elements needed for interbank processing while recognising message elements that may be available for use in Additional Optional Services.
