The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published its opinion to the European Commission concerning which investment firms should be subject to the CRD IV / Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR). Generally, the EBA recommends that only those investment firms that are currently identified as global systemically important institutions (GSIIs) and other systemically important institutions (OSIIs) should remain subject to the full CRD IV / CRR regime.
