The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) has published a questionnaire providing a standardised set of questions that can be sent bilaterally by investment firms to trading venues that may fall within the scope of MiFID II (multilateral trading facilities and organised trading facilities). AFME has also published a separate questionnaire that can be sent by investment firms to European equities exchanges that are in scope of MiFID II. The questionnaire has been developed with fixed income and currencies’ products in mind, and has some asset class-specific questions, but may also encapsulate cross-asset considerations and be relevant for other instruments. The questionnaire can be sent bilaterally from investment firms to their broker or trading venue counterparts.
