The Agency for the Co-operation of Energy Regulators (ACER) has published a draft outline and a presentation of its 2018 work programme. More specifically, ACER’s multi-annual objectives for 2018-2020 are focused on:
- post-internal energy market completion – (i) completing transposition of third package; and (ii) implementing and monitoring of network codes;
- the infrastructural challenge – (i) electricity and gas ten-year network development plans; (ii) projects of common interests progress and implementation; and (iii) cross-border cost allocation;
- wholesale energy market integrity and transparency – (i) Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency ‘live’; and (ii) wholesale market monitoring; and
- future challenges including renewable energy study integration challenge – “Bridge 2025” implementation (resource permitting).
