On 25 June 2026, there was published The Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Commencement No. 15 and Saving and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2026.
These Regulations are the 13th commencement regulations made under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (FSMA 2023).
Section 1(1) of FSMA 2023 revokes the legislation listed in Schedule 1 to that Act, which includes the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR).
Regulation 2 brings into force on 1 January 2027 section 1(1) of, and Schedule 1 to, FSMA 2023 so far as they relate to the revocation of Articles 4, 4A, 4B and 5 of the CRR. These Articles also provide for definitions of terms used in the CRR. Some definitions in Article 4 are revoked on 1 January 2027 by virtue of regulation 3 of the FSMA 2023 (Commencement No. 12 and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2026.
