On 15 December 2025, the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) published a guide on supporting customers who may not be able to make their own decisions, intended to help staff in regulated markets learn about:

• Lasting powers of attorney (LPAs).
• Enduring powers of attorney (EPAs).
• Deputyship orders.
• Guardianship court orders.

The OPG set out that this guide has been written together with UK Regulators Network, Ofcom, Ofwat and the Financial Conduct Authority.
