On 15 October 2024, the Financial Services Regulatory Initiatives Forum published an interim version of the Regulatory Initiatives Grid. The Forum is made up of representatives of the Bank of England, the Competition and Markets Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Financial Reporting Council, HM Treasury, the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Payment Systems Regulator, the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Pensions Regulator.
The Forum notes that the publication of the eighth version of the Grid was postponed due to the general election and that, due to the replanning required because of the change of government, a complete Grid will not be published in 2024. The interim update has been provided in the meantime given the Grid’s value for industry and stakeholders.
The interim update covers known regulatory initiatives impacting firms from October 2024 to March 2025 and is intended to support impacted firms and stakeholders in their planning. Not all items from the previous Grid are included in the interim update, either due to uncertainty about timing or because they fall outside the covered period.
